Cycling from Palmela to Setúbal


Start the day riding from Palmela to Setúbal, tackling rolling hills and scenic climbs through Arrábida Natural Park. Follow quiet secondary roads and occasional dirt tracks that wind through cork oak forests, vineyards, and coastal cliffs, with panoramic views of the Atlantic. Stop at Portinho da Arrábida beach for a swim or a drink before continuing along coastal roads to reach Setúbal.

Cycling from Setubal to Santo André


After breakfast, start with a short visit to Setúbal downtown before crossing the Sado River by ferry, home to a resident dolphin population. Ride along the Troia Peninsula, surrounded by sand dunes, and stop for a wine tasting.

Continue along the 50 km stretch of white sandy beaches and rice fields, observing wild egrets and storks, before exploring freshwater lagoons and the unique outdoor marble library. Finish the ride on scenic, easy roads into Santo André.

Cycling from Santo André to Vila Nova de Milfontes


After a warm-up, ride to Santiago do Cacém, a historic town with aristocratic architecture and a castle overlooking the surrounding landscape. Visit the last operating windmill before heading toward the coastline through lush oak forests.

Continue along scenic routes framed by schist cliffs and the blue Atlantic to reach the fisherman’s village of Porto Covo, including a historic fortification. Stop for a swim, watch the local fish being unloaded or explore the village streets before finishing the day in Vila Nova de Milfontes.

Take breaks at wild beaches for relaxation, and stop at Odeceixe beach, one of Portugal’s 7 wonders, for coffee before continuing to Aljezur, one of the last villages reclaimed from the Moors.

Cycling from Aljezur to Sagres


Start from the Castle of Aljezur, enjoying views over the village and its vegetable gardens. Spot the impressive “needle rock” in the ocean and choose between an undulating asphalt road or a dirt track through lush valleys full of life. Stop in Carrapateira to visit the fisherman’s museum, then continue via asphalt or dirt paths to Vila do Bispo.

Before reaching Cape S. Vicente, the SW point of Europe, enjoy beaches and small villages along dramatic cliffs, finishing the ride at the Fortress of Sagres before reaching your hotel on the cliffs.
