We are a family of four with two sons, 12 and 13. We scheduled a six day bike trip on the Portugal coast. We were delighted to be guided by Manuel and supported by Joanne. They provided us with everything we needed plus much more. We learned history, culture, cuisine, language. We enjoyed trips to an ancient windmill that ground wheat, a small artesian olive oil producer, fishing villages, rice paddies, a honey producer, and farm communities , plus additional excellent side trips. We enjoyed the mixed experience of eating local food in local restaurants and higher end food in fancy restaurants. Our accommodations were wonderful. The biking was stupendous!!! We biked to all the places I mentioned above. We enjoyed hills and ocean views. We biked through forest of cork trees and learned about cork farming and production. Our stronger bikers were able to add adventures while our other family members enjoyed a rest and more beach or pool time. We were ecstatic with our adventure and grieved its conclusion.

Portugal Best Cycling provided interesting and varied cycling routes with great scenery and plenty of opportunities to learn about the local cuisine and history. The farm was beautiful, and waking up to the sound of a donkey was an appealing way to start each day - especially when followed by a glass of orange juice fresh from the tree! The meals at the farm were outstanding (even for a picky eater), thanks to the lovely Deena. All the staff were warm and welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed the day we spent with Sadeq, as he took us on a guided tour to Monsaraz, and waited patiently as we found the perfect pieces of pottery at Patalim! The whole trip was a perfect blend of adventure, fitness, relaxation, and Portuguese hospitality.

Teresa and her team of professionals are top notch. They speak the language, and they know the area. They took us down beautiful country roads and took us to great sites including a prickly pear cactus farm, pottery manufacturer, wine tastings. I've taken six escorted bicycle trips. This one was the best. I stayed on an affiliated farm called Monte Serrado De Baixo. The facilities, food, and staff are awesome there.

I have been on several biking trips and must say this one is the BEST by far. Everything about this tour was exceptional, from the attentive staff and informative guides to the delicious family-style meals and snacks, biking equipment, comfortable accommodations, beautiful sights, points of interest, relaxing trails, and beachside picnics.

"A group of 7 of us had a wonderful time on the No Rush bike tour through the Alentejo region of Portugal. The accommodations/dinners were lovely, the e-bikes worked perfectly and the views were amazing. Mario was our guide and he did a wonderful job. We opted for the "supported tour" which meant Mario drove a support van ahead of us and made sure we had all we needed. He was with us at historical/geological sites and provided interesting explanations. Kudos to the back office employees who helped us arrange the tour. These folks were very responsive and answered all the questions we had. We left some things in our hotels and Mario, working with the staff, worked hard to retrieve the items. Cannot say enough good things about our experience and the kindness of everyone at Portugal Best Cycling."

The BEST tour group & guides ever. Every detail was perfect. The farm accommodations were beautiful: warm & welcoming and comfortable. Dina made sure we ate wonderful meals and made sure to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions without ever sacrificing taste! Authentic, delicious Portuguese cuisine. NOW to the biking: Awesome rides. Teresa made sure to encourage photo ops whenever anyone wanted to stop to take pictures. No one was ever "left behind". Our lakeside "picnic" was not the average box lunch. It was a banquet! I would repeat this trip again, just to enjoy the wonderful tour guides, food, accommodations. Did I say this was just perfect?

We had a wonderful experience with Portugal Best Cycling. Owner Teresa, guide Mario and all of the crew and staff were lovely - very helpful, warm and accommodating. We cycled for two days and did the evening cooking class and would recommend the experience to anyone. Very fun and relaxing way to see a fascinating part of Portugal!

I like my cycling holidays. I had visited 10+ this way. After a week in Portugal, I can say that the Portugal Best Cycling team was perfect, welcoming, warm, generous, and attentive. All our experiences - guided tours, accommodations, meals, the farm itself - all were great! Bicycles are electric or non-electric (depending on your choice). Thanks to Teresa, Dina, Claudio, Anabelle, Joanna, and Manuel for an amazing experience!

My husband (73) and I (68) had a wonderful time cycling the Alentejo Castle & Wine Tour the first week of November. Chris brought his recumbent and I rented an e-bike (Cube) with its incredible “turbo” assist. Made hills a piece-of-cake. The weather cooperated for the most part with temperatures in the mid-60s and rain on only one day of our trip. Our guides – Sadeq, Mario, Philipa, and Juan (?) – were very accommodating. While we attempted to ride the 30 to 60 km planned routes, we could shorten them to meet our needs. I needed to bail for one day after coming down with stomach flu, but was back in the saddle the next day. Thereafter, I had to cut back on the cheese and rich Portuguese food, eating mostly French fries until our last fabulous meal at the Acadeia in Estremoz. The tour was a nice mix of riding and sightseeing. I especially enjoyed the wine tasting at Fitapreta. Portugal Best Cycling and its parent company Turaventur are local outfits. So, the guides really know their stuff. We worked with biketours.com in the US to book our tour. We highly recommend Portugal Best Cycling!

What a great bike trip and tour! Portugal Best Cycling is an excellent company to work with. Their communication and services are excellent. The route is good, app works very well and the accomodations were comfortable, always with good recommendations for places to visit and eat. They spent a long time preparing is for our self-guided ride and were responsive and available throughout the week for questions. I recommend e-bikes even for strong riders because Portugal is very hilly! This is a great company and a wonderful country to visit.
