About us
Exploring the Outdoors and
New Cultures, by Bike.

History
Thinking of you since 1990!
Biking is how we like to travel ourselves, so it was only natural that we began organizing Bicycle tours in Portugal. After exploring the world ourselves, we decided to share what we know best and love the most: Alentejo, our favorite region in Portugal!
Having so many happy clients led us to the need of opening up to other regions, to fulfill the requests of repeat customers.
With us you can bike the regions of Alentejo and Algarve, where more than 300 days of sunshine shape everyday life.
Our journeys are designed for cyclists with different goals and fitness levels, always with safety, comfort, and cultural immersion in mind.
From quiet back roads to historic villages, we help you experience Portugal’s traditions, arts, crafts, and history in the oldest country in Europe.

Why us?
Travel, relax and enjoy. All is taken care off.
We truly believe each person is an individual. We want to have the privilege to organise your holiday and our goal is to make it unforgettable.
We work to exceed expectations.
We are obsessed by details and authenticity. We are a local company, family owned and passed from parents to daughter. We are working on the grand sons :)
Your special requests are our focus. Flexibility is our strongest value.
Test us. We are ready for you!
Our guides
The best of our portugal bicycle tours is our guides. Come and meet them and see for yourself!

Teresa has been the soul of Turaventur and Monte do Serrado de Baixo for the last 20 years. The first adventure she recalls was trekking after her father in the mountain of Gerês, when she was 5 yo. She has practiced several outdoor sports and loves to travel by bike. For two years, she traveled in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Laos, India, and Nepal. She finally came back to Portugal and started our Portugal Bicycle Tours. With endless energy, she will guide a cycling tour as well as a canoeing trip or set up an original outdoor event for a company meeting.

More about us
Since 1994, we have been producing activity and travel guides to help you discover the wonders of our Alentejo region.
In 2007, we opened up our guesthouse Monte do Serrado de Baixo, a beautifully restored traditional farmhouse located in a natural paradise, and only 8 km from the World Heritage Site of Évora.
In 2018, we open our first house rental in Évora, the charming little house Casa dos Apostolos.
You can expect personalized treatment and passionate guides with high knowledge of the region’s culture and heritage.
