This guided experience is led by a local guide who shares insights into Évora’s history, culture, and countryside. Begin by following the impressive Silver Water Aqueduct, a 16th-century engineering masterpiece, along a peaceful walking path surrounded by cork oaks, olive trees, and aromatic herbs. So much to see in this UNESCO city which is European capital of Culture in 2027!
You’ll arrive at a beautiful traditional Alentejo country farm house, where you are invited to visit the Classic Car Museum, featuring iconic cars such as Jaguars, Austin Healeys, Porsches, and even a Jeep that raced in the Paris‑Dakar Rally. You can also book accommodation at this farm for a full countryside experience. (Click here to visit Monte do Serrado de Baixo)
After a refreshing drink and snack at the farm, your cycling adventure begins. Ride back toward Évora on a traffic‑free green ecotrail (ecopista), enjoying an easy downhill route that makes the ride relaxing and fun.
Once inside the city walls, follow the aqueduct through Évora’s narrow white streets and explore its unique historical centre, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This guided tour perfectly blends countryside scenery, cultural insight, and historical exploration for an unforgettable experience. If you want time to really explore Évora's center, see the Aqueduct and Évora Tour, which is this tour in a full day.
The tour is perfect for children who can ride a bike and enjoy walking. We provide kid-sized bikes and child seats, and private tours are also available for families who want a more personalized experience.
