Cycling in Paradise Bike Tour Reviews

Reviews from our 5-star clients

I like my cycling holidays. I had visited 10+ this way. After a week in Portugal, I can say that the Portugal Best Cycling team was perfect, welcoming, warm, generous, and attentive. All our experiences - guided tours, accommodations, meals, the farm itself - all were great! Bicycles are electric or non-electric (depending on your choice). Thanks to Teresa, Dina, Claudio, Anabelle, Joanna, and Manuel for an amazing experience!

We had a wonderful experience with Portugal Best Cycling. Owner Teresa, guide Mario and all of the crew and staff were lovely - very helpful, warm and accommodating. We cycled for two days and did the evening cooking class and would recommend the experience to anyone. Very fun and relaxing way to see a fascinating part of Portugal!

Portugal Best Cycling provided interesting and varied cycling routes with great scenery and plenty of opportunities to learn about the local cuisine and history. The farm was beautiful, and waking up to the sound of a donkey was an appealing way to start each day - especially when followed by a glass of orange juice fresh from the tree! The meals at the farm were outstanding (even for a picky eater), thanks to the lovely Deena. All the staff were warm and welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed the day we spent with Sadeq, as he took us on a guided tour to Monsaraz, and waited patiently as we found the perfect pieces of pottery at Patalim! The whole trip was a perfect blend of adventure, fitness, relaxation, and Portuguese hospitality.

My wife and I, both avid cyclists, recently completed the Cycling in Paradise, 5-day, 4-night, adventure. We had a wonderful time.
The farmhouse was quaint with comfortable rooms, good food, and a relaxed vibe. The staff, especially Dinah, who taught our cooking class, were attentive to our needs and requests. They did treat us like family.
The ride routes had variety, dirt/gravel paths and paved roads. We did Carpets, Wine and Cork, and Monuments. On the day we did Carpets, since that was a shorter route, we added a round-trip (12 extra miles) into Evora on the back end. The free tour of the cork factory on Wine and Cork was well worth it. We did not stop at the wineries since we did not want to “drink and drive” in the hot sun. For Monuments, we transferred directly in the morning to that location, and then rode back. We were glad to have E-bikes since some of the climbs had steep elevations, but mostly kept the assist on the first assist level. The Roadbook GPS app had some glitches but we figured things out.
Overall, I highly recommend this trip.
